Soft, fluffy pita made with just a few simple ingredients, easy, gluten-free, and perfect for wraps, dips, or alongside any meal.
Ingredients
1 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
1 cup gluten-free flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Optional
5 Tbsp. Butter
Za’tar (Optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.
Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
Divide the dough into 3–4 pieces and roll each into a flat round.
Heat a pan over medium heat and lightly oil if needed.
Cook each pita for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
Brush with butter and sprinkle with za’atar if using. Serve warm.
