Vietnamese Sticky Wings

Ingredients

  • 1–2 lbs chicken wings

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce (Liquid Aminos for gluten-free)

  • 4 tbsp sambal oelek

  • 4 brown sugar

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 Lime

  • Sesame Seeds

  • Cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Pat wings dry and place on the baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt.

  • Bake for 35 minutes, until crispy, golden, and cooked through.

  • While the wings bake, in a small bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sambal oelek, garlic, ginger and a squeeze of half a lime.

  • Remove wings from the oven and toss with half of the sauce until evenly coated. Return to the oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until sticky and crisp to your liking.

  • Once out of the oven, toss the wings with the remaining sauce.

  • Finish with cilantro and sesame seeds and serve.
